A little bit about me

Hi, I’m Amanda! I’m 26 years old and have a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Special Education. I’ve spent years working with children of all ages, and I’m currently nannying for a 6-month-old baby — but as that position is wrapping up, I’m excited to find my next family to support.

I’ve cared for little ones ranging from infants to preschoolers, including experience with a 6-month-old & 3-year-old, a 1.5-year-old & 4-year-old, and 4-year-old twins. I’ve also worked in a preschool supporting children with special needs, which gave me a deep understanding of patience, flexibility, and empathy.

I truly love helping kids grow, learn, and feel cared for in a safe, fun environment. Whether it’s tummy time, story time, or playtime at the park, I always bring energy, creativity, and nurturing care to each day.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is building trust and connection. Families are trusting me with the most important part of their lives, and I don’t take that lightly. For me, it’s not just about keeping kids safe, but making sure they feel loved, supported, and cared for when their parents aren’t there. I want children to feel happy, secure, and celebrated whether that’s through play, learning, or just being there with patience on the hard days.

I have worked at a preschool where my primary focus was aiding kids with severe disabilities in the classroom. I have also worked with students at The University of Cincinnati’s IMPACT program where I would mentor students 18+ who have autism and other disabilities.
