I am the fourth child out of eleven, so I spent many years babysitting for my siblings, cousins and friends. Babysitting has always been such a joy for me, and I loved when I would get a phone call asking if I was available to babysit.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Some indoor activities that I love to do with kids include playing games, weather it be a board game or a fun game of hide and seek. I love to color, and use our imaginations to create projects. I enjoy reading to the children I am taking care of, and if they are of age having them read to me. I enjoy to sing and laugh and just have a good time. Outdoors, one of my favorite activities includes chalking, because it’s a great way to use our imagination. Hopscotch is such a fun game to create with chalk. I also enjoy playing on the swing set, rides down a backyard slide, just sitting down and visiting in the sunshine, taking walks and bike rides. In the wintertime, it is enjoyable to build snowmen and go for sled rides. There are so many incredible and beneficial activities both indoors and outdoors, and it’s so good for a child and their developing brain to experience and try out new things!
