Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have taken care of kids as young as 2 months and as old as 13 year olds, I was also a volunteer during high school in a preschool in the special needs class. My responsibility was to keep the kids busy and entertained 1-2 hours while waiting for their parents to pick up their kids.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Sole indoor activities i and the children love doing the most is singing and dancing, it helps kids with confidence and helps them develop their skills with movements and talking. Some outdoor activities the kids love doing too with me is racing by running or walking even, it helps them with physical activity and keep healthy while also having fun.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Is making sure the kids are safe and happy, I make sure the kids are having fun but staying safe because kids are just tiny humans just like adults and I wouldn’t let anything happen to them.
My experience with special needs children...
I have taken care of kids with Down syndrome, adhd and autism in a preschool. I personally have adhd so I understand what some children go through so it’s easier for me to take care of them by understanding them. I volunteered there for about 4 months, unfortunately I had to leave because I had gotten hired at a job I really needed, but I enjoyed being there.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was definitely when an 11 and 8 year old girls were singing with me frozen and their dog was so hyper enjoying the moment she accidentally dropped her water bowl on one of the girl’s dresses the 8 year old started crying because it was her favorite dress and took the dog outside so he can take out his energy running while I comforted the girl. I sat her down and reassured her it was just water and it wouldn’t ruin the dress as long as it was dried up and she hugged me and told me it was okay because it reminded her of Elsa because of the water.
