More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am currently a Toddler Teacher for The Learning Experience located in South Lyon. I care for roughly 12-14 children a day between the ages of 18 months to 2 years old. I am responsible for meal prep, providing engaging learning activities, help to facilitate building strong social connections with other students, nap time, diaper changes, cleaning, and laundry.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and nurturing environment where a child feels valued, understood, and cared for. It’s about being someone they can trust, while also encouraging their independence, curiosity, and confidence. To me, being a nanny is more than simply caring for a child; it’s being a positive influence in their life, celebrating their little milestones, supporting them through challenges, and helping them grow into the person they are meant to become. It’s an incredible responsibility and a privilege to be part of a child’s life and make a meaningful difference in their everyday world.

The most important part about being a nanny...

A favorite nannying moment for me was watching a little one become so proud of something they had worked hard to learn. She had been practicing the Alphabet song basically on repeat for the past 3 weeks and always stumbled on the letter that comes after "P". When she finally got it committed to memory she ran up to me when I arrived and did a whole performance for me. I remember celebrating with her by getting Dairy Queen. Moments like that remind me that nannying isn’t just about keeping children safe and entertained; it’s about being present for the little things, encouraging them, and making them feel confident and loved. Those everyday moments of laughter, learning, and connection are what make being a nanny so special to me.
