A little bit about me

My name is Amber and I'm originally from Baltimore, Maryland! I'm currently attending school pursing a Bachelor of Science degree in Allied Health. In my spare time I enjoy training for figure skating and dance, studying French, reading, volunteering, and spending quality time with family and friends. I also serve as a board member for a non-profit education organization. Another big enjoyment for me is working with children. I have been working with children for over 7 years, ages ranging from newborn up to 17 years old. I have worked as a summer camp counselor for a sleep away camp for 4 years with a total exceeding 200 children! I've worked in a church nursery as the leading staff in the infants room. I have also worked as a temp travel nanny in Miami and New York City with over 60 families. It isn't enough to say that I love working with children. It brings me joy to see them learn, smile and simply do what kids do, have fun! References available!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

The most important part about being a nanny...

What’s most important to me is that the children are not only having fun, but that they are safe. I always keep an open communication with the parents giving them updates. I like to do activities that interests the children with little to no screen time. Keeping them engaged instead of just physically being there is important. Earning parents trust and being professional is a must.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was working with a sweet family from Saudi Arabia for 2 weeks and they offered me a full time position to go back home with them. The kids were so sad that I had to go. They kept saying “Mama, but we love her”. It broke my heart to say good bye, but the parents still keep in contact with me so I could check in on the children.
