Hi! My name is Amber, I'm 19 years old and I have always had a passion for taking care of kids since I was one. I've babysat for several years and worked at a daycare and now I'm a paraprofessional for general education and special needs preschool children in Lacey School District. I love what I do and wish I could do it all day! I believe kids are such bright lights and bring so much joy and happiness in this world. I have experience in working with children with autism, ADHD, and many other unique personalities. Working with kids in general can be a challenge but I'm always up for one and with patience, laughs, maybe some fun games, it's always memories for me to be able to watch the children in my care, growing, learning and happy! I've babysat for 8 years as well as worked in a daycare and now am a preschool paraprofessional where I care for kids every day!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to do music related activities like following dances on tv or karaoke or just letting them show me whatever cool things they wanna show off. I've done yoga, safe science experiments, arts and crafts, food and treat making and so much more with kids I've cared for. I like to take walks to the park, play board or card games, sometimes video games like roblox or Minecraft when allowed with some older kids I've babysat. Educational games and anything else the kids like to do, as long as it's safe and okay with parents, I love to have fun doing things we all can enjoy.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Having patience is crucial when it comes to childcare because it can be a challenge to not overwhelm yourself in situations when things get chaotic and kids love chaos! But a challenge can always be positive and fun and mostly stress-free with patience in hand and a big heart.

My experience with special needs children...

My brothers are both diagnosed with autism and I've babysat and helped cared for them for majority of their lives. I also work in a school district as a paraprofessional for general education and special needs preschool children. The different abilities that I have experience working with children with are autism, ADHD, behaviors, and many other unique personalities!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Besides every time the love I give is given back to me, it's when I had the opportunity to keep 3 little girls wanting to do 3 different things all happy, the joy it brought to be able to put a smile on all their faces.
