While my daughter was growing up I became a nanny to be able to bring her to work with me, and I did it until she started 1st grade.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing things with children that gets them outdoors, makes them stronger physically and mentally, broadens their minds and gives them a positive loving outlook on life. Which can range from playgrounds on the beach, swimming, hikes, picnics, museums, activities that the child themselves are passionate about.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is making sure I'm working with the parents as a team, and having clear communication. Being present for the children, being there for the children, however that needs to look, either physically, emotionally, mentally. Listening to them, validating their feelings, guiding them in a positive way, having fun with them, but also have a balanced schedule and structure.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moments are when I was watching 4 children, and we would all get together and play games, or go swimming, or they would tell me something exciting about their day, or something that they discovered about themselves and how well they did it, or realized that they loved it. When they would share intimate moments with me, and tell me about the little things and who they were becoming. The funny stories, or their funny thoughts, children fascinate me with how smart they are, and it's so fun to watch them learn and grow, and in the long run, I still to this day learn things that they teach me.
