Growing up I cared for my two younger step brothers who, when I started, were 7 and 9 years old. Later in high school and college I’ve been an active babysitter, mostly for a family with a young boy and girl, starting ages 6 and 8. Also, throughout middle school and high school I volunteered at RISSE, an immigrant and refugee service, interacting with kids and providing fun games, crafts, and assistance in school work. I have experience in preparing meals, supervising physical activities, arts and crafts and interactive games, implementing proactive guidance strategies, and with transporting children to where is needed. Additionally, not for children, but for elders, I worked at a nursing home as a service associate, under CNAs, as a supervisor of large groups of resident's, up to 50 at a time. There I also provided meal prep, assisted in activities, provided housekeeping, and supervised residents at all times.
