"Amelia has been a vital asset to myself and my family the last 2 years, helping me care for both my children (2 years and 7 months). Amelia has shown care for the kids in several ways and brings something new to the table everyday. Amelia loves to play with the kids both inside and outside, she loves to utilize her knowledge and teach my children new skills, and she is extremely patient when it comes to showing the kids new ways of doing things. My experience with special needs children...
I have been a SPED teacher for a year working with kids k-3rd grade with behavioral needs, specials needs, non verbal and kids who need extra support. I have cared for deaf kids with and without implants. I learned tons of sign language and learned how to cope with there difficulties. I’ve cared for children with autism and have learned how everyone has different struggles and how to cope with the individual child itself.
