I love doing what the kids love! If that’s going to the park to play on the swing set or playing with dolls! I also prefer to incorporate a lesson or skill with the fun activities that we do, whether that is working on our fine motor skills, practicing colors and shapes, counting, etc! I think it’s important to make sure to include these with fun activities to encourage more learning and growth.

Understanding each child is different and there is no one way of working with them! Different methods work for different children so it is super important to pay attention to what each child responds to in order to help them grow to be the best they can!
My experience with special needs children...
I taught in a class with a child on the spectrum in which we had to split our attention to help him take his time with certain activities. I also had a child that required a strict schedule for receiving medication that needed to be included in their daily schedule.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment is still receiving messages from previous children and families on holidays and birthdays. It continues to remind me how much of an impact being a nanny is and makes me love it even more!
