More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
York Day Early Learning-I worked closely with children in a structured childcare setting, supporting daily routines and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment. I assisted with supervising playtime, leading age-appropriate activities, helping with meals and snacks, and maintaining a clean classroom. Children’s Ministry-I have experience working with children through my church’s children’s ministry, including teaching and leading VBS. In this role, I helped supervise groups of children, lead lessons and activities, assist with crafts and games, and ensure a safe environment. Nannying-I nannied for my cousin’s newborn during one summer when she was just two months old. I provided attentive, hands-on infant care, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and supporting nap routines. Babysitting-I’ve been babysitting since I was 15 for multiple families, caring for children of all ages. I’m responsible, reliable, and comfortable managing daily routines while ensuring a positive environment.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love playing board games, playing outside, doing crafts, reading stories, and just having fun with kids. I enjoy keeping them engaged and happy, and I love finding creative ways to make each day fun and memorable! I am always excited to take kids to the pool, playground, an indoor park, bowling, the movies and other fun activities. I love planning themed nights for kiddos like a game tournament night, cookie making, holiday crafts, and more! I am always looking to play with the kids and do engaging activities.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is building a strong, trusting relationship with both the child and the family. I love being someone who genuinely cares for a child, who is intentional in how I support, guide, and encourage them every day. I love watching kids grow, gain confidence, and discover new things, and being there to celebrate their little victories. I also value creating a positive, welcoming environment where kids feel safe, loved, and happy. Knowing that parents can trust me to care for their child gives me a lot of fulfillment — it’s more than a job, it’s a meaningful connection and a chance to make a real difference in a child’s life.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments as a nanny was building a giant fort with the kids I babysat for. We spent the afternoon creating it together, adding blankets, pillows, and even little decorations. Seeing how excited and proud they were of something we made together was so rewarding — it reminded me how fun and meaningful simple, creative activities can be when you spend intentional time with kids.

Hello, my name is Mariam. I have been passionate about helping others from a young age and have experience in healthcare support (PCA and phlebotomy), security, babysitting, and home health aide work. Babysitter Available in New York, NY: Luke B.
Hi, I’m Luke. I’m a freshman in college at the University of Vermont studying education, although I’m planning on changing my major next year. I’ve worked in supervising and leading children of various ages in the past as a summer camp assistant soccer coach for DUSC. I’ve also volunteered as a head soccer coach for a non-profit called Seeds In The Middle. This job had me working with kids as young as 3 years old! Seeing as I’m still quite young, I feel as though it will be easy for me to connect and relate to your child. I’m big into fitness and recreation in general so I’ll be more than happy to take your child outside and to the park and engage with them in any activity they desire. I’m also more than happy to stay inside and watch a movie or help with their school work. Furthermore, I can cook and prepare food for your child whenever they’re hungry (nothing too extravagant). Overall, I want to be your child’s friend but also someone who they can look up to and ask for advice.
