I have recently returned home from Sydney, Australia after Au pairing for 9 beautiful children, ages 0-10 for the last 3 years. As I had the assistance of other nannies, I was the main care taker and ensured each child had their daily routine completed as well as doing what I could to keep smiles and peace all around. Two of the children have been diagnosed with autism and ODD. I joined their mother in several meetings with OT therapists along with speech therapists to make certain they were receiving the most appropriate care possible. Prior to this, I was a full time nanny for a 2 and 4-year-old. I worked with them for over a year and am still in contact with them today. Our activities included going to the local library for kid groups, going to the local park, taking walks, reading, drawing, and lots of cuddles.
