Of course I think that safety is the top priority, but helping them learn is up there. Doing tasks revolving around learning, even in a fun way, will help them in the future.
My experience with special needs children...
I was raised with a special needs brother and nephew. I also worked with FOCUS in Georgia, a special needs group with ages 0-21.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I was recently able to watch one of my nanny kids graduate from middle school and his younger sisters elementary graduation. They live in Georgia, but now that their parents allow some social media I am able to watch them grow up.
