The most important part about being a nanny...
is being able to connect with the children. If you're not able to connect with them, bond with them through playing, watching something, dancing, etc., you're going to struggle getting them to listen to you. Afterall, how many of us don't like being told what to do by someone we don't know? Definitely me lol
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with children on the autism spectrum and am a registered behavior technician (RBT), however I do have between 6-12 months of experience, so not as much experience as children that are not. However, I do feel comfortable caring for children with special needs as long as everything is properly communicated and everyone involved feels comfortable, I'm always open to learning more!
