More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was a nanny for 3 years with the same family, have helped raise my boyfriends two daughters since they were 3 and 4, had my 3 year old nephew live with me for 5 months, and am constantly around kids between family and friends.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love taking kids to museums/aquariums, libraries and reading, doing art projects, going to the park of corse!
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me the most important thing is giving the parents piece of mind that their kid(s) are safe, loved, and in good hands. Knowing if the person caring for your child will drive safe, strap the kids in safe, speak to them with kindness and respect, it's so important to me, have a good, strong relationship with one another (the nanny and parents).
My experience with special needs children...
Is currently limited, although I have some experience with special needs adults and caring for them in home with every day needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have TOO many to count. I love my kiddos I've nannied for, picking just one isn't fair! I think one of the funniest, OMG moments was when I had just finished changing a dirty diaper (#2) of the 7mo old, and put her back in the bouncer, went to wash my hands and do the dishes, heard her giggling like crazy! When I turned around to see her, she had pooed even more, it somehow snuck out of her diaper, and she was bouncing it into the floor! It was a real MESS but at that point we couldn't help but laugh and clean up. Definitely one of the most crazy / funny things to happen to me. Every day was new and special in its own way though, a new memory or sweet moment
