My name is Andie. I just graduated from Texas Tech University and am looking to nanny before I go on and complete my masters program in psychology. I am great with children of all ages having worked at a summer camp and as a swimming instructor for several years. I also nannied in high school. I understand that all children are unique and special and I am committed to caring for their individual needs. I am not currently certified in first aid or CPR, but I am willing to get re-certified. My certification for Wilderness first aid, CPR and AED just expired.

Having worked with children in a wide variety of ways, I am open to all activities. I love hide and go seek, tag, board games, sports, cooking, reading. The most important part about being a nanny is making sure the kids feel loved and supported. It's taking care of their individual needs and challenging them to always be the best version of themselves.

My experience with special needs children...

While I do not have trained experience working with special needs children, I do have a degree in psychology. I understand the needs of special children and am willing to adapt to new experiences. While working as a camp counselor I was often assigned to cabins with special needs children. My head counselor found that I was the most well equip with handling unique circumstances while still making sure the campers had a great experience. I am extremely caring and patient and willing to do whatever it takes to make the child feel supported.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was when I also taught the twins how to swim. They were seven. It was so rewarding watching them go from being unable to swim to them jumping in and diving for torpedoes. Their favorite games were marco polo and colors. I loved every minute of it!
