I am a parent of a ten, and two-year old. I have several decades experience babysitting and caring for children aged 0-18 years old. I have multi-cultural experience and have lived in Turkey, England and Japan. I have beginner language skills in Turkish, Spanish, and Japanese and can also cook various cuisines!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Coloring and drawing, reading, trips to the library, visiting museums and theme parks, going on walks or bike rides, sharing cooking lessons, playing games, building forts, and of course—playing dress-up or hide-and-seek!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is building a strong and trusting relationship with the children and their parents. This means taking the time to get to know each child's personality, interests, and needs, as well as understanding the family's values and expectations.
As a nanny, I strive to create a nurturing and safe environment where the children feel comfortable and supported. This includes being patient, kind, and attentive to their needs, as well as setting clear boundaries and providing positive reinforcement.
Communication is also crucial in building a strong nanny-parent relationship. I make sure to communicate regularly with the parents, providing updates on the children's progress, discussing any concerns or challenges, and working together to find solutions.
Ultimately, being a nanny is more than just a job, it's about making a positive impact on the children's lives and helping them grow into happy, healthy, and confident individuals.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was when I took the kids I was looking after to the beach for the first time. The youngest child was hesitant to go near the water and was scared of the waves. So, I held their hand and slowly walked them towards the water, explaining how the waves work and reassuring them that I was there to keep them safe.
Eventually, we got to the edge of the water, and the child started jumping over the waves with excitement, while holding my hand tightly. It was heartwarming to see the joy on their face and to know that I helped them overcome their fear.
We spent the day building sandcastles, playing games, and having a great time together. It was a special moment that I will always cherish as a nanny, seeing the children I care for grow and learn new things.

Hi, I am Samantha! I am a college student studying Child Development, Psychology, and Neuroscience at the University of San Diego with a 3.8 GPA, a lifelong Coloradan who grew up exploring everything this state has to offer, a dog mom to five, a swimmer, a musician, someone who is genuinely passionate about health and nutrition and loves to cook, and a person who believes pretty firmly that kids should be outside and off screens as much as humanly possible.
