A little bit about me

My name is Andrea I am originally from Colombia, and came to the U. S. at the age of 11. I used to take care of many babies and kids. I started by caring for my younger brothers. Then I began working for other families. I worked at Mary Cariola Children's Center for 4 years as a full time employee from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m I was a Teacher's Aid. My job duties include providing care and educational support to children 3-5 years in age. I make sure that their needs are met (toileting, feeding), and I work on their educational goals as instructed by the lead teacher. I also enjoy playing and running around with the children, Craft, Activities etc.

I began working with a family that has become part of my me, part of my family for 3 years and I enjoyed every time with him we did activities, park, craft together he taught me so much :)

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a Nanny is the strong relationship you build with the kids, and parents. I enjoy teaching them manners, how to share with others, enjoy singing, and reading with them, making sure that they are change, feed, play and have learn something for the day. I love how i can be myself in front of parents, because as soon as we meet we are family because you are giving me your trust with your kids ❤️

My experience with special needs children...

I feel comfortable in my role there working with medically fragile children, and I also enjoy playing and running around with the children who are more physically agile.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment is when the kids eat all their food so parents can be happy, one of my favorite moments is when i see them learning, and grow as a child ❤️
