More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I bring a diverse background in childcare, with roles ranging from an infant and toddler teacher to a dedicated nanny, dependable babysitter, and enthusiastic camp counselor, spanning the ages from infancy to elementary school.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I absolutely love engaging in activities with children that are not only fun but also educational and enriching. From my years of childcare experience, I've discovered that there's a world of exciting possibilities to explore together. We can embark on creative adventures like crafting and painting, where children can express themselves and unleash their artistic talents. Reading is a cherished activity; the worlds of storytelling and imagination are endless. Most importantly, I relish those moments when we simply sit down to chat, fostering open communication, trust, and the opportunity to answer all their inquisitive questions, encouraging curiosity. I believe in a balanced mix of fun, learning, and quality time, ensuring that every moment with children is not just memorable but also a valuable part of their growth and development journey.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is undoubtedly the profound impact we have on the lives of the children we care for. We are not just caregivers but also role models, mentors, and, at times, a source of unwavering support. Our responsibility goes far beyond meeting their basic needs; it's about fostering a safe, nurturing, and loving environment where they can grow, learn, and develop into confident, happy individuals. It's about building strong and lasting bonds, instilling values, and helping them discover the world with curiosity and wonder. Being a nanny is a privilege, and the most crucial aspect is the opportunity to shape young lives positively, leaving an indelible mark that can last a lifetime.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments happened during a quiet afternoon with the children I was caring for. We had just finished reading a story, and I noticed their eyes were still filled with curiosity. Spontaneously, I suggested we create a "magic story" together. Each of us would contribute a sentence to the tale, and I was amazed at their imaginative and creative responses. We embarked on a journey filled with dragons, talking animals, and enchanted forests, and the children's faces lit up with excitement. The most heartwarming part was when one of the kids said, "I love making stories with you, it's like magic!" In that moment, I realized the special connection we had formed, and how nurturing their creativity and sense of wonder was one of the most rewarding aspects of being a nanny. It reminded me of the unique role I play in their lives, fostering both their imagination and their sense of joy.

I am an empathetic, supportive, calm, kind, and fun preschool educator with a graduate degree in early childhood education and nanny experience looking for a long-term after-school position in partnership with a loving family. I have extensive experience with toddler, preschool, and early elementary-aged children in both school and home settings, and am pediatric CPR/first aid certified.
