More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I currently work in an ECE center going on 14 years, I have worked with age groups from 0 to 5 years, I had taught kinder catechism for 16 years, and I have 4 handfuls of my own aged from 14 to 22.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to incorporate manipulatives with music and movement. Anything from simple science, painting, seek and find using house hold items, and anything to get your child moving with a smile on their face.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Encouraging the child through play. Listening to the child, so that you can provide what the child is needing.

My experience with special needs children...

I have not had the opportunity to work one on one with a special needs child, however I am willing to learn on a case by case basis.

The most important part about being a nanny...

A fun nanny moment for me was putting my 5 yo friend to bed for the evening. He of course wasn't ready for bed(after having 3 stories, 2 small cups of water, and 2 trips to the bathroom)and every time I thought he was asleep and snuck out, he would tip toe to where I was and play peek A boo. After the third attempt I got him instead. I stood against the wall near his door way, and when I heard his toes I peaked my head into his door way and said peek A boo first. In the end of course he won. I realized he wanted me to stay in the room, and so I did.
