I recently graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a psychology major and have done internships for Bounce Children’s Foundation and Tuesdays Child working with both mentally and physically impaired children. I am now making a move to New York getting my Masters in School Counseling at NYU. I love to bake, cook, clean, read, be active outside, and engage in any activity that allows me to unleash my inner child. I am a quick learner and am working towards learning ASL.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Volunteered for the Special Olympics in Southern California, volunteered for AmpSurf in Maine and Southern California. I have also done internships for Bounce Children’s Foundation where I would come up with weekly activities for physically/mentally challenged children and their families. I also recently finished my internship with Tuesday’s Child where I worked with some mentally impaired and ‘typical’ children under the ages of 7. At this internship I aided in working towards behavior management by focusing on the child’s strengths and abilities and giving positive reinforcement and praising the scholars for any positive behavior.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love arts and crafts, cooking, baking, building forts, and coloring. I also love to be active by riding my bike, going to the beach, walking around, and playing whatever fun sports or games children enjoy playing.
