A little bit about me

10 years of experience caring for children has solidified my passion for nurturing their growth and development. Babysitting throughout high school confirmed my desire to positively impact young lives. I am patient, creative, and approachable, making me well-suited to care for multiple children at the same time. I communicate with parents using their preferred method, providing regular updates via text or phone and verbally at pickup. I am very comfortable enforcing household rules. My days are filled with outdoor sports, board games, and educational activities. I can assist with cooking, carpooling, light housekeeping, travel, crafts, and swimming supervision. I am also certified in CPR and First Aid. I look forward to bringing my experience and enthusiasm to your family! ☺️

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been babysitting since I was 12, I was a nanny for 10+ years off and on, I have also worked at various daycare facilities, and I worked at a school as a paraprofessional (aka, a sped teacher aid).

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Playing games, taking walks, riding bikes, going to the park, going to the library, taking them to a museum, going to the zoo/aquarium, helping them do their homework, playing dress up, playing pretend, and so many more!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, stable, and emotionally secure environment where a child can grow. Everything else—activities, schedules, even discipline—flows from that foundation.

My experience with special needs children...

I was a nanny for a family with special needs children, their needs were associated with cerebral palsy. I also worked as a sped teacher aid, those students needs included autism, downs syndrome, cerebral palsy, ect.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Taking them to zoo/aquarium! It was a great time filled with joy, laughter and learning!

Keelyn K. - Seeking Work in Salem

Babysitter Available in Salem, OR: Keelyn K.

Growing up I was surrounded by younger cousins, I quickly stepped into a role where I was helping care for them, playing with them, What started as something that just came naturally to me turned into something I truly love and value.

From a young age, I’ve been involved in my church’s kids ministry, where I’ve had the opportunity to work with children of all different ages and personalities. Being part of that environment taught me patience, responsibility, and how to connect with kids in a way that makes them feel seen and important. I’ve always tried to be someone they can look up to—someone who brings energy, kindness, and consistency each time I’m with them.Recently, I got married, which has been an exciting new chapter in my life. It has also strengthened my sense of responsibility and commitment, especially when it comes to building a stable and caring environment for others. I value family deeply, and that value carries into how I care for the children I work with.
