Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy going out and being adventurous with the kids! It’s so encouraging seeing them be so fascinated by the things that are so “common” to us. It helps me to appreciate the little things more. I enjoy taking them to the park, playing sports like basketball or soccer, or just simply going on walks.
I also enjoy staying in the home for days when it’s rainy or when they just don’t want to be outside. I like doing arts and crafts! I enjoy painting, reading, puzzles, drawing, playing hide and seek, and helping them with activities that help better develop their motor skills.

The most important part about being a nanny...
We make such a huge impact on the children. How we respond to their mistakes, how we acknowledge their achievements, the way we correct, how our tone and mannerisms are are very important and helps to shape a child. It’s so important for us to be great role models, but also be their best friend.
The most important part about being a nanny...
There are so many so I’ll list a few. My favorite nanny moment was when the 3 year old’s mom I babysit for told me that the child constantly asks for me and when the door bell would ring, he would ask “Angie?” (This is my nickname - He used to have a hard time saying Angelica). Many times, it wouldn’t be me, but rather the mail man or a different person at the door. She told me that he still does this even when I don’t work that day. He also began giving me hugs before I leave, and he even cried a couple times. When I first started watching him, he was a little difficult to win over so this showed so much how our bond has grown.
Another thing is seeing the kids I watch grow. I’ve watched three 1 year olds in different times. It’s awesome getting to experience milestones. The first year or two are so crucial in children’s growth as they are learning new things. I’ve gotten the opportunity to see a lot of big moments like hearing their first words and seeing their first steps!
