More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I recently graduated with a degree in Elementary Education and have experience through first grade student teaching, daycare work, and babysitting. I also have experience working with phonics, early literacy, arts and crafts, and creating engaging activities for children of different ages.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love keeping children active, engaged, and having fun throughout the day. I’m a bit of a book nerd and will probably encourage your child’s literacy a little more than most. I love a good trip to the library, reading together, and helping children build confidence with books and learning.
Some of my favorite activities from both daycare work and private childcare have been arts and crafts, outdoor play, imaginative games, and the occasional impromptu dance party. I really enjoy getting involved and playing alongside the children, whether that means swimming, hopping on the trampoline, or even attempting to pitch a few baseballs, although I can’t promise they’ll be very good ones!
I also spend a lot of time doing these kinds of activities with my 9 year old sister, who I will miss dearly when I move to the area.

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny to me is building a real connection with children and getting to nurture their personalities, interests, and confidence as they grow. Oddly enough, I know I mention my little sister a lot, but she is 9 now and I absolutely adore her. One of my favorite things has been encouraging the things she loves, whether that’s arts and crafts, golf, writing, or just letting her creativity run wild.
She recently wrote and illustrated her own little Halloween booklet that was equal parts cute, spooky, and shockingly funny. I remember getting to the last page and laughing because she had drawn a grave with her own name on it. She isn’t morbid at all, just incredibly clever and creative with a great sense of humor from growing up with older siblings. Moments like that remind me how special it is to encourage children’s imaginations and help them feel proud of who they are becoming.

My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with special needs children through both daycare work and my first grade student teaching experience. My Elementary Education degree also included coursework and endorsements focused on supporting children with different learning, behavioral, and developmental needs within a standard classroom setting. Through these experiences, I’ve learned the importance of patience, flexibility, positive reinforcement, and creating an environment where every child feels supported and encouraged.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite parts of working with children is getting to be active and genuinely involved in what they enjoy. I loved taking some of my kids to the skate park and helping them with their skateboards or bikes, and I’ve always had so much fun playing with children in the pool during the summer.
Some of my favorite student teaching moments were actually on the playground. A few of my girls in the classroom convinced me to swing with them one day, and hearing their giggles at “Miss Anna” on the swings absolutely made my day. Those simple little moments are honestly some of the most special parts of working with children.

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Stamford, CT: Solange F.
My name is Solange, and I am 28 years old,I am from Brazil , I worked at a school. I cared for both older and younger children. With the older children, we engaged in a wider variety of activities. I came here through the Au Pair program; I lived with a host family and cared for their children. During my first year, I looked after two boys—aged 2 years and 5 months at the time—and I stayed with them for a full year. Then, in my second year, I moved to Connecticut. I cared for a 6-year-old boy and a 6-month-old baby girl. However, my primary responsibility lay with the older child. I packed his school lunch, drove him to and from school, and drove him to his extracurricular activities. I prepared his dinner and assisted with his bath time. Currently, I am working as a nanny for a family in Cos Cob; I have been with them for a year now. They have two boys, They are a wonderful family. So, those are essentially my references. It would be a pleasure to speak with you further about this
