Hello! My name is Amina Jones, I am an energetic, caring, loving, and fun nanny. I currently attend LCCC and I love kids. Children always gravitate towards me with how I am able to have intelligent conversations while still maintaining the playfulness children love. I am open availability and hope to one day care for many children in my community because I have a strong sense of protecting, educating and caring for children. I formerly did caretaking at ARK, while I was not caring for children, that job showed me the ability to have hard conversations and teach about mistakes instead of just punishing them. Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I have been dancing for 10 years and I LOVE dancing and teaching children to dance. I also was raised by a Buddhist father and Christian mother, I love using mindfulness during times of turmoil when caring for children. I am always willing to learn and explain everything about everything to a child whilst maintaining their innocence. I have a special skill of figuring out what a child likes and something their good at and I use that to make fun out of doing math, English, Science, and other things.

My experience with special needs children...

While I have not specialized with children with mental and developmental disabilities. I have a vast experience navigating the realm of adults with disabilities. I myself had special needs growing up that were not treated properly by many systems and I hope to provide the children I care for all the grace, patience, and care to help them not experience the same thing.
