My name is Anna and I live in Westminster with my husband and my dog, Moose. I love working with children and am in graduate school to become a School Psychologist. I currently work M-F during school hours at both a high school and preschool. I am looking for a part-time nannying position that would be on the weekends and after school hours. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

When I was in high school, I babysat regularly (much like a nanny) for a family who had a toddler and absolutely loved it. I worked all throughout college as a preschool teacher assistant at the Goddard School and through my job there, I made connections with families that I babysat for through the upcoming years. When I graduated from college, I worked at Primrose as a Kindergarten teacher assistant. Additionally, I have worked at summer camps and have tutored students. I am currently a School Psychology Intern working in both a high school and a preschool.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

In the past, I have done many activities with the children I have worked with and those activities range, depending on their ages and unique interests. This includes playing games (like hide and seek), playing with toys, playing board games, reading books, doing arts and crafts, playing sports, working on homework, and watching movies. If the children I work with enjoy the outdoors and the weather is nice, I also like to find opportunities to be outside. In the past, with parent permission, I have taken children I’ve babysat for to nearby parks to play.

The most important part about being a nanny is being loving, nurturing, and kind, as well as being someone you, your children, and your family can trust. Your children mean the world to you - and they will also mean the world to me.

My experience with special needs children...

When I was in college, I interned at a nonprofit organization that provides services to families who have children with special needs. Work I did included visiting families in hospitals, babysitting for siblings of children with special needs, and meal prepping for families. As a School Psychology intern, I currently work in the field of special education.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I had a family I babysat for regularly throughout high school. When I started my work for them, their daughter was a baby. I was her first babysitter, so the beginning visits were harder because it took her some time to get comfortable without her parents around. I often started my babysitting shifts during her nap times. I will never forget the day she woke up from her nap and when she saw me, she had the biggest smile on her face. It meant the world to me that she felt loved and comforted by me and it started the beginning of such a special bond. It was a special moment that I will treasure forever!
