More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Babysitting experience with both infants and children. Nannying experience for 2 years while in undergrad for 2 children ages 3 and 5. Youth gymnastics coaching ages 3-12 all skill levels. Teaching assistant for 1 year post-grad in a project-based learning blended classroom K-2nd grade.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Spending time outdoors, art, explorative play, projects (all kinds!) reading, kid yoga and gymnastics.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, being a great nanny is about more than just supervision. It’s about being present and intentional. I love getting kids off screens and into real experiences, whether that’s playing outside, being creative, or trying something new that builds confidence. I also think it’s so important to support life skills at every age, from communication and emotional regulation to independence. At the core of everything I do is safety, and making sure each child feels secure while still having fun and growing.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience supporting children with diverse developmental and behavioral needs, including autism spectrum differences, ADHD, and challenges with emotional regulation. I am comfortable using individualized strategies to support positive behavior and growth.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite experiences as a nanny was getting to show the kids how to retrieve eggs from a chicken coop full of hens. Not only was in fun and also funny at times, but it brought a completely new experience to the kids and taught them so much about responsibilities, caring for animals and where our food comes from!
When I worked at the school, everyday was a favorite moment. That job solidified my love for working with kids and helped me decide to pursue pediatric nursing.
