My child care journey started about 18 years ago starting out as a babysitter for infants and preschool aged kiddos. After high school I took early childhood education classes during which I was interning at a preschool and then followed up by opening up an in-home daycare which I had infants through fifth grade children attending. This last year I worked at a preschool as a teachers assistant but now I am back to being a stay at home momma to my 4 and 2 year old.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
A typical day for my family includes going to the YMCA in the morning after breakfast, going home for lunch then playing outside, going to the park or library followed up by nap time/chill time. Snack time and either clean up time or more outdoor play would come next; Inside we have a lot of imaginary toys like play kitchen, dolls, cars, coloring etc. As a previous teachers assistant I like to do STEAM activities with read aloud/ art activities that I had taught with my kids.
