More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Hi! I’m a proud mom of two amazing young adults (ages 23 and 19) and an involved aunt to six wonderful kids, from 4 months to 17 years old. I’ve been caring for children since I was 15 years old, and now at 43, I bring over 25 years of hands-on experience in childcare—including more than 16 years as a dedicated teacher.
I hold a bachelor’s degree and am currently working toward my master’s, continuing to grow my knowledge and passion for child development and education. I’ve worked with children of all ages and love creating a warm, safe, and structured environment where they can learn, laugh, and feel supported.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active and spending quality time with my family. I love sports, going to the beach, fishing, and making the most of life’s simple moments. I’m dependable, nurturing, and truly love being a positive influence in a child’s life.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love planning fun and enriching activities that match each child’s age, interests, and developmental needs. Some of my favorite things to do with children include playing outdoors, riding bikes, doing arts and crafts, building with blocks or Legos, reading books, and exploring sensory play. I enjoy helping with homework, creating learning games, and encouraging creativity through music, dance, and pretend play.
For younger kids, I enjoy tummy time, singing songs, and reading picture books together. For older children, I like organizing games, doing science experiments, and teaching life skills through fun activities like cooking or baking. Whether we’re at the park, working on a puzzle, or just being silly and laughing, I love helping kids learn, grow, and have fun in a safe and caring environment.

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is building a trusting, loving relationship with the child and their family. Children thrive when they feel safe, valued, and understood—and as a nanny, I get to be a consistent, supportive presence in their everyday lives. It’s not just about supervision; it’s about helping them grow emotionally, socially, and developmentally through care, patience, and positive guidance.
It’s also important to work closely with parents as a team, respecting their values and routines while providing dependable, high-quality care. Being a nanny means showing up with a big heart, strong communication, and the ability to adapt to each child’s unique needs while creating a safe and joyful environment for them to grow.

My experience with special needs children...
I have had the privilege of working with children with special needs throughout my career as a teacher and caregiver. Over the years, I’ve supported children with a variety of needs, including autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, developmental delays, and speech and language challenges. I understand the importance of patience, consistency, and adapting my approach to meet each child’s unique strengths and needs.
My experience includes creating structured routines, using visual supports, promoting communication skills, and providing a calm, encouraging environment where children feel safe and supported. I also collaborate closely with families and other professionals to ensure continuity and care tailored to the child’s goals.
I believe every child deserves compassion, respect, and the opportunity to thrive, and I’m passionate about helping them reach their full potential in a positive and loving way.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was helping a shy little boy who was nervous about starting preschool. Each morning, we had a special goodbye routine and I’d remind him of all the fun things waiting for him at school. After a few weeks, he walked in confidently with a big smile, and his teacher told me he was making friends and participating more each day. His mom later shared that our morning routine made all the difference.
