Hi! My name is Annica and I am 21 years old and looking to work as a nanny/babysitter. I have been working with children going on 10 years now, and have been in professional childcare settings for the last 3. I am expecting my first child in September and looking to step back from the craziness of daycare and focus on only 1-4 children at a time in smaller settings until my baby comes. I absolutely love working with kids and I honestly feel as though I am still a child at heart. I enjoy playing, learning, doing crafts, exploring nature; honestly anything your child would like to do. I believe there are no limits to learning in childhood and would like to encourage that in your child.

I have cared for a few children with autism, but besides that my experience with special needs children is very limited. However, I am open to learning and loving any child that I can.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Kids absolutely love it when you play with them and don't just watch them play. I watched three kids between the ages of 4-9 one year and I loved playing outside with them. Even though it wore me out, I loved chasing them up and down the hill and jumping on the trampoline with them while they yell “let’s go higher!”. I may not be the most athletic person, but the out-of-breath feeling and achy legs are totally worth it for the look on their faces the next time you come. They get so excited because they know you will play with them and it will be such a fun time.
