My oldest as a child was label with emotional behavior disorder. Many labels were given through the years. I eventually ended up homeschooling him in second grade. At the age of 16 he wanted to come off all meds. Our case isn't the norm, but he now lives in California and is a healthy productive member of society. The challenges and obstacles we had to overcome to get him where is today, we're many to say the least. While raising him with his many limitations and adversities. I also had a daughter who had none of these issues. Learned behaviors was probably what I feared most back then. But, through prayer, faith, communication and outside counseling, the kids were raised to be loving, caring, productive young adults. As an "empty nester" I still have so much love and care to provide.
