More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

For the past five years I have had the opportunity to work with children ranging in age from 4 to 14. I worked in a middle school as a paraprofessional for 2 years and have worked in Elementary school education for the past 3 years. I also have experience as a camp counselor at the Challenger learning center where I have had the joy of creating some of our summer camp weeks for the students. I also have experience working as an afterschool teacher for Brownsville Preparatory School.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

After all my experience as a S.T.E.A.M camp counselor there are so many activities I enjoy. From crafting to fun science experiments there is no limit to the amount of fun things there are to do. I also love being outside with the kids teaching them new games and skills.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Providing care as well as a fun, educational and safe environment for those that I am caring for. I think it is important for children to feel safe, have fun and learn something every day.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked in special education for the past 5 years from middle school students to the age of 5. I have my CNA license, CPR and first aid certifications and have worked with children's with varying special needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite experiences with children was a food experiment I did with the students I work with in afterschool. We learned how things get flavor. I brought in safe things for the students to try from cinnamon to peppermint and they were able to try the flavor in varying forms.
