A little bit about me

Hello I am an LPN who is looking to branch out to working again with children. I am a spry grandmotherly person who loves children of all ages. I believe children need to be entertained by people and games etc. Not by tvs and computers and phones. If given the chance I can show you a lot of ways to deal with children if you need it. I have primarily been working pediatrics for over 25 yrs and have been a nurse by trade for over 40 yrs. I have CPR First Aid and do not get overly excited in an emergency and can handle a lot of things thrown my way. I like to get kids outside and moving during the day and helping them to achieve success in life. I am motivated active woman who loves going for walks. Playing in the park. You can rest assured I will take care of your young ones the way I would take care of my own with the same love and respect that they deserve. I now live in Daytona Beach however am but a drive or flight away.

Being there for the families and children and making the families and children feel comfortable. I like to feel a part of the family and caring for the children as if they were my own. Nurturing the kids and giving them good self esteem and praising them for all their accomplishments no matter how small. There is nothing like a genuine hug from a child.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I worked with a family in NC and their little boy wanted to make bread so I helped him make banana bread and then we had an extra loaf and I knew of his neighbor whose wife had passed away and he knew the husband and we wrapped one of the loaves up and took a care pkg over to the husband and he was beaming when I praised him for making the bread and putting the care basket together. The man was fun and to this day his mom says that he talks about that day proudly.
