More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have volunteered in children’s care through church and have younger family members I have helped raise.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I am up for just about anything. If activities are planned or the freedom to offer ideas to you is available I will try to brainstorm with the kids for suggestions.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Being trusted. Having another adult that a child can trust is extremely important. Knowing that your child is safe is a feeling that cannot be explained.
My experience with special needs children...
Part of my volunteering ended up with my being the assistant that the special needs children gravitated towards. I’ve never had problems understanding or communicating with them just because they are different.
This rounds back to treating children like people. They just want or need different things.

From age 1 through 2.
A child I was baby sitting a few times a week that was dropped off at my house had initially been very testy. His grandparents did not correct him so he was very confused by the sudden rules.
His mom later stated that he would constantly go around to things in his house and point and say no after a few weeks of babysitting, things he would previously get into or get hurt with.
This continued as we did activities outside the house and such. By the end of my time watching him his mom was very grateful that he seemed to be understanding how things can hurt him and why rules were in place.
Though maybe not cute or funny it’s my favorite moments with him because it’s something that not only helped his mom but helped him stay safer.
