I find being around children to be so rewarding. Their sense of play and joy is so incredible, and it radiates outward to those who care to look for it. Kids are smart---they know when they're being truly listened to. What is most important about being a nanny to me is being a friend to the kids and making them feel safe enough to be themselves. To be weird and silly, to explore what they like and to learn what they don't. To create a connection with a child where they feel comfortable around you is such a special thing, and I cherish every kid I've worked with. Every one is so special and full of great things, and seeing all of that is always so incredible.
