More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Experienced in working with children across a variety of settings, including summer camps, recreational programs, and community activities. Served as a summer camp counselor and party coordinator, where I supervised children, led group activities, and created engaging, safe, and fun environments. Volunteered as a cheer assistant, supporting youth through teamwork, practice coordination, and positive motivation. Additionally, gained hands-on experience during my internship at Port Discovery Children’s Museum, where I facilitated interactive, educational activities such as STEM-based pop-up projects that encouraged creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration. My background in Family Science, along with healthcare experience as a Certified Medication Technician and caregiver, strengthens my ability to provide patient, structured, and supportive care for children of all ages.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love learning through play with children and creating fun, interactive experiences that promote creativity, imagination, and cognitive development. My personal favorites are: sensory art activites, nature walks, imaginative play and STEM activites.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is contributing to children’s confidence, growth, and development by using positivity, encouragement, and play-based learning to support their curiosity and development.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with children in inclusive, youth-focused educational settings through my internship at Port Discovery Children’s Museum. In this role, I supported children with a range of developmental and learning needs by facilitating interactive, hands-on activities and ensuring they could participate in programming in an engaging and accessible way. I used patience, clear communication, and flexibility to adapt activities and provide support when needed. This experience strengthened my ability to create a welcoming environment that encourages participation, learning, and positive social interaction for all children.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment is seeing children discover confidence after learning a new skill and realizing what they are capable of achieving. Also, I enjoy seeing a child’s curiosity and imagination come to life as they explore new ideas and experiences.

Also I currently don’t have the funds for the background check so if you’d like any references just let me know.

Live-In Part-Time Nanny Available in Frederick, MD: Cynthia L.
My name is Cindy. Caring for children has been both my life’s work and my greatest joy.
As a mother of four grown children and a proud grandmother of six, I bring not only professional experience but also a personal understanding of children’s needs in all stages. I homeschooled my own children, which allowed me to foster a love of learning, creativity. Professionally, I spent nine years working in the Child Watch program at the YMCA, followed by my current role as a full-time preschool teacher. While I value my experience in the classroom, I have come to realize that I thrive most in smaller, more individualized settings where I can truly meet each child where they are and give them the attention, patience, and care they deserve.
My background also includes experience as a nanny prior to raising my own family.
Outside of childcare, I am an avid reader and love inspiring children to develop a lifelong love of books. I would love the opportunity to talk with you about the position.
