I love spending quality time with kids in ways that are both fun and enriching. Some of my favorite activities to do with children include watching age-appropriate movies, going outside to play or explore nature, reading books together, helping with homework or learning activities, and finding creative ways to have fun outside of the home—whether it’s a trip to the park, local library events, or doing crafts and games at a nearby community center. I enjoy adapting to each child’s interests and energy level to create a safe, positive, and joyful experience.

My experience with special needs children...

I have meaningful experience working with children who have special needs, particularly those on the autism spectrum. In high school, I served as a student helper in a special education classroom, where I assisted teachers with daily routines, learning activities, and emotional support tailored to each child’s individual needs.

Currently, at LSU, I’m involved in a research lab that works directly with children with autism. This hands-on experience has deepened my understanding of sensory processing, communication strategies, and behavioral cues, while also strengthening my patience, empathy, and adaptability. Both roles have been incredibly rewarding and have reinforced my desire to continue serving children with unique needs in both educational and caregiving settings.
