The most important aspect of being a caregiver, whether for the elderly or children, is the ability to provide meaningful emotional and physical support to those in need. As a caregiver, it is essential to demonstrate empathy, patience, and understanding, as each individual has their own unique needs and challenges.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience caring for children with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum. During this time, I have learned to handle various situations with patience and sensitivity, always adapting to each child’s individual needs. My responsibilities have included feeding them, changing diapers when necessary, and helping them fall asleep by creating a calm and comforting environment. Also I was caring for adults with various conditions. I have administered medications and provided care for individuals with dementia, stroke survivors who experience paralysis on one side of their body, and adults in wheelchairs who require assistance with transfers using a Hoyer lift. I have also assisted with personal care tasks such as changing diapers. Each of these adults had unique needs, which has taught me the importance of adaptability and understanding in caregiving. I am eager to learn how to apply these skills to provide supportive care for children with special needs.

My favorite moment when caring for children is watching them grow. I love witnessing their first words, learning to eat on their own, and how they develop new skills every day. It’s incredible to be part of their learning process and see them take pride in their achievements.
