I believe the most important part of being a nanny or babysitter is making sure both the parents and children feel safe and comfortable at all times. Parents should feel confident and secure knowing their children are being cared for by someone responsible, trustworthy, and attentive. It’s also important that the child feels safe, supported, and comfortable in my care so they can have a positive and enjoyable experience. Building trust with both the parents and the children is something I value very seriously.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite babysitting moment was helping my mom’s friend’s daughter learn how to ride her bike without training wheels for the first time. At first, she was nervous, but I encouraged her to keep trying and helped her stay confident. When she finally learned how to ride on her own, she was so excited and told me it was the best day ever. Seeing how proud and happy she was made me feel really good, and it reminded me how much I enjoy helping children learn new things and build confidence in themselves.
