More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
A key part of my experience caring for children comes from my time as a camp counselor, where I was responsible for supervising and engaging groups of kids in a variety of activities. This role taught me how to manage different personalities, handle conflicts calmly, and keep children safe and entertained in a fast-paced environment. I planned games, led group activities, and made sure each child felt included and supported. It was a rewarding experience that strengthened my leadership skills, patience, and ability to connect with children of different ages.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy doing hands-on, engaging activities with children—especially ones that spark curiosity and creativity. Two of my favorite things to do with kids are simple science experiments and cooking projects. I love seeing their excitement when we mix ingredients and see reactions or create something tasty from scratch. These activities are not only fun but also great for learning and building confidence. Whether we're making slime, baking cookies, or exploring how things work, I always aim to make the experience safe, educational, and enjoyable. I also enjoy reading, crafts, and outdoor play, but science and cooking are where I see kids light up the most.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is building a trusting and caring relationship with the children and their family. It’s essential to create a safe and nurturing environment where children feel comfortable, supported, and free to be themselves. Being attentive to their needs, listening carefully, and providing consistent care helps children feel secure and valued. A good nanny also communicates openly with parents to ensure everyone is on the same page about routines, preferences, and any concerns. Ultimately, being a nanny is about more than just supervision—it’s about being a positive, dependable presence in a child’s life.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with young children who have early-age autism and ADHD, which has deepened my understanding of how important patience, flexibility, and individualized care are. In my roles as a sitter and camp counselor, I supported children by maintaining consistent routines, using clear and calm communication, and adapting activities to meet their unique sensory and attention needs. For children with ADHD, I focused on providing engaging, hands-on activities to help them stay focused while allowing for movement breaks when needed. These experiences have made me a more attentive and compassionate caregiver, committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment where every child feels understood and valued.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was when I babysat a pair of energetic twins. It was amazing to see their unique personalities shine through, even though they were so close in age. I loved finding ways to engage both of them together and individually—whether it was coordinating fun games that encouraged teamwork or giving each twin special one-on-one attention to meet their individual needs. Those days were full of laughter, creativity, and learning, and it reminded me how rewarding it is to support siblings as they grow and bond. Watching them interact and grow closer made the experience truly unforgettable.
