A little bit about me

For the past year and a half I have had my first nanny family. I had the pleasure of falling in love with the profession while caring for 4 young children around the ages of 9 to 3. Working at the camp gave me the experience I have with school aged children and my many years in preschools have given me experience with children as young as 6 weeks to 4 years old. My specialties are baby sign language and incorporating teaching children Spanish through song. I am no way fluent but I know the basics like colors, shapes, days of the week, and months. I am always willing to learn to be able to teach the child. I grew a love for nature over the years and love to visit local farms, gardens, and parks. I also loved to visit local libraries to attend events they hold throughout the week. I am great with baking and cooking as well. Over the last year I have begun to learn how to make basic dishes from scratch.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was an assistant teacher and lead teacher for infants and first steps at the Goddard School of Ewing for four years. After that I was a infant/ toddler caregiver for the Children’s Home Society of New Jersey for a year and a half during the pandemic virtually and in person.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment happened the first summer I spent with my first any family! They have a summer journal the parents asked them to write in. I took the children to a park I grew going to ask a child. The next day the oldest wrote in her journal that she loved the park so much, and was so ecstatic about trying to go there again. Knowing she will have the same memories I have that I hold near and dear to my heart is a big thing for me.
