The most important part about being a nanny...

Is being there for the kids and being what the kids need me to be. If they need someone just to watch them then I can do that. If they need someone to play with them I can do that. If they need help with homework, chores, or house work I can help with that.

My experience with special needs children...

I have been a respite aid for two families and helped take care of their children with special needs. One family had two girls who had special needs and I helped them with their daily goals, hygiene, and communication skills. I worked with them for 1 year.
I worked with another family and helped take care of their son with down syndrome. I was his night time aid and made sure he met his goals and was ale to complete his nightly routine.
