The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, nurturing environment where children feel valued and supported. Building trust with both the child and their family is key — it allows me to understand each child’s unique needs and personality, helping them feel comfortable and confident. My goal is to not only care for their physical needs but also foster their emotional growth by encouraging creativity, independence, and kindness.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was helping a shy toddler build confidence through play. He was hesitant to join group activities, so I started with one -on- one games and lots of encouragement. One day, during a game of building blocks, he proudly showed his creation to the other kids- and they even joined in to cheer him on! Seeing his face light up with pride and watching him slowly come out of his shell was such a rewarding moment. It reminded me how powerful patience, support, and a little creativity can be in helping kids grow.
