I have cared with children that have congenital or acquired brain injuries, genetic abnormalities, etc. They were unable to do basic chores for themselves and that is where I as a program assistant would help. I would explore where they could be independent and would allow them their independence where possible.

I remember when my little girl, had her first performance at an early on education centre that we went to for two hours each morning. She did so well, and at the end she said "thank you to my favourite Aunty Arnelle for helping me" -- at 3 years old!
