I enjoy doing arts and crafts, board games, going for adventure walks, creating stories, etc. Every child is different so I like to do whatever makes them happy and excited to hang out!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is adapting to whatever each family needs. A nanny can't treat a family the same way they did their last family because they're different. A nanny must understand the specific needs that both the parent(s) and kid(s) have in order for everything to work smoothly.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with children with special needs in my classroom and in some of the daycares I've worked at. I don't have the most experience with them, but I have worked with these kiddos on multiple occasions.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I had a kiddo who had been dealing with nightmares for months. His parents and I were doing all of the things that you're supposed to do but nothing seemed to work. There was one night where I was rocking him to sleep and it brought me back to when he was just a few months old. That was one of the first nights that he had slept fully in months. As hard as the nights when he would wake up screaming would be, that night of rocking him to sleep makes it all worth it.
