I have personal experience with special needs because my sister has special needs, and I helped care for her growing up. That experience taught me patience, understanding, and how important it is to meet each child where they are. The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was when a little girl I was watching learned how to write her name for the first time. We had been practicing together for a while, and one day she finally did it all by herself. She got so excited and ran over to show me with the biggest smile. Seeing how proud she was made me really happy. Moments like that are my favorite part of working with kids and helping them build confidence.
