I think the most important part of being an nanny or caring for kids is always their safety. Aside from that, also respecting boundaries and making sure the kids is comfortable, and having fun! It caters to their development and sense of self.

It’s not a specific memory but when I worked in the daycare I loved watching kids figure out how they feel about something. If we did water day for example, I loved watching their faces when they learn and decide “oh I love this” or “oh I hate this.” As they get to know themselves they are growing and I love being able to love and support kids through that, and cheer them on every second of the way.
