A little bit about me

I have nannied off and on since I was 15 years old and have babysat several families along with my main nanny family. I have always loved working with children. I have an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, and I have a CPR, AED, and First Aid certification, as well as several certifications from The Nanny Institute. I am also a CPST! I worked at a preschool as a 3 year old teacher over the 2024 summer. I worked as a part time daycare teacher for all ages (infant-10 years) over the 2024 summer. I worked as a nanny for a total of 3 years during the time of June 2020-January 2026. The kids were aged 2 and 4 when I started, and were 7 and 10 when I left. In this job, I helped with homeschooling, then when kids went to school, homework. I drove the children home from school and to many after school activities. Currently, I nanny part time for a 4 and a 6 year old during their summer vacation.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I volunteered pretty often in the preschool wing at my church from when I was 12 years old until about 18 years old, which has ages 2-5, and I was there for about an hour each time. I have student taught in a kindergarten class, 1st grade class, and in a 2nd grade class during high school. In college, I student teach with 3-4 year olds.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love coloring and doing various crafts with the kids! I also love to read with them and dance around to music! I love taking them to the park or just on walks in general. I enjoy playing board games and card games with older children.

Is that you care for the kids and do your best to make sure they know they are loved and cared for and valued.

I have worked with autistic children, ranging from fairly low support needs to high support needs, although I have more experience with low support needs.

When I first dyed my hair the girls I was watching absolutely loved it and insisted they needed dolls that looked like me so they got several dolls with colorful hair. Even years later, they were still obsessed with my hair and helped me plan out what colors I should get next!
