Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I absolutely love a good park or playground! I’ve always enjoyed the swings myself, and I’m down for any imaginative play your little one could come up with!
I also enjoy taking kids on educational or fun outings- like the zoo, museums, pool, etc.! But, I’m also perfectly content staying in and watching a movie- or coming up with a fun indoor activity for us to do!

The most important part about being a nanny...
Making sure that kids are cared for, and creating good happy memories for them. I have a younger brother, and laughing with him and experiencing the world through his eyes was one of my favorite parts of growing up together.

My experience with special needs children...
I have over a year of experience caring for a nonverbal autistic teen. My role with him was much like an after school “buddy,” I would pick him up from the bus, and take him to any therapy appointments he may have that day. (OT, Speech, Equine)
After therapy, I would take him swimming which was his favorite activity! We would also get dinner together, sometimes dessert- and in the summers we would go to the movies, waterparks, etc! I also have experience staying overnight with him, putting him to bed, making sure used the bathroom, etc.

One of my kids I regularly watched one day as he was sitting on the couch with me looked at me and said, “Ashley can I tell you something? I love you and you can come to my house anytime!” I remember my heart just swelling with warmth and gratitude.
