A little bit about me

Hi, I am Ashley, and I am 19 years old! I am a current Freshman at Saint Louis University, studying Finance. My schedule is pretty flexible, but I also have an additional job as a Pharmacy Technician, at Walgreens. I can work late at night, and even weekends. I have volunteered at an Early Childhood Education in the Lindbergh school district for one year unpaid. The age range I dealt with was 2-6 years old. I have babysat family friends children, from new borns, to even them being in kindergarten. I love taking care of children, and can confidently say that almost all children love me, too. I hope I am a good fit for your family!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

ECE, babysitting, volunteering in elementary schools, and family settings.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Activities include reading, completing puzzles, drawing, paper crafts such as paper airplanes, friendship bracelets, clay crafts, baking together, building forts, treasure hunts inside and outside, going to the park, singing and dancing, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny, in my opinion, is building a trusting, supportive relationship with the child and their family. While fun activities, discipline, and caretaking are all essential aspects of the job, creating a sense of security and trust, will allow for our relationship to grow stronger. You are entrusting me with your child, the light of your life, and I promise I will take care of them with all of my power.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I first met one of the children I was taking care of, she at first was scared of me, as I was a new face for her to get used to. She would cling to her mothers side, but after some time, and me continuing to talk to her and jingle toys to her, she began smiling and laughing, and even reached her arms out for me to hold her. The next time she saw me she was so excited to hangout with me. Seeing children happy to see me/ smile at me, makes me so happy.

My family has done foster care for over 9 years. I am very experienced with children of all ages and with children that have some medical needs such as g tubes and tracheas.
